about

Kringen | media explores how to create a visual voice for our clients that will resonate with their own communities and create meaningful connections.

As principal, I’ve worked in design and interactive media disciplines for over 3 decades. As Art Director at SEGA’s Southern California division, I trained and led a team of 20+ artists in the development of gaming environments and animation, and as Director, had the opportunity to explore and research the relationship and application of design and A.I. to the interactive experience.

With the advent of the internet, my focus turned to developing website environments and brand identities. My approach is illustrative and textural, with a modern sensibility. In collaboration with my clients, I work to develop digital landscapes that will visually represent who they are, what they are about and foster emotional connections to their audiences.

intent

I love design, art, beauty. These have the power to connect us - to our communities, to our clients and to a part of ourselves. Working with color, composition and texture - exploring and rearranging until something looks right - until it “feels” right - is a conversation more than a statement. It is a back and forth interaction between artist/designer, client and the work itself, that holds the promise of seeing something in a way not seen before, of finding order, of discovering new meaning and of invoking emotion within the viewer.

It is the process of uncovering and discovering beauty, and this is something that we recognize and respond to without stopping to think. It’s instinctive and universal. It draws us closer and has the power to reclaim in us a sense of awe.

Art and beauty can make us feel something simply by looking at something.

This ultimately connects us to something both beyond ourselves and to something that dwells deep within, simultaneously.

I can’t think of a better goal.
